Left over wallpaper? Upcycle a lampshade: A step-by-step guide
We've all been there... you've picked your perfect wallpaper and you LOVE IT! But what to do with the leftovers?

Our newest collection on the block was just so freakin' good we couldn't bear to waste a strip of it so we decided to get crafty and upcycle a bunch of lampshades from teeny-tiny to big and bold! If, like us you hate waste, then this one's for you! Follow our step-by-step guide below to take your drab lampshades to fab lampshades in no time!
What you will need:
- A lampshade (straight sided)
- A pair of sharp scissors
- Glue dots
- A ruler
- Your leftover Lust Home wallpaper
Step 1
Place the lampshade onto the wallpaper, we've used 'Hello Petal' wallpaper in Barefoot in Bali. Line up the lampshade with the edge of the wallpaper and using a pencil lightly mark the width of the shade. Do this two more times further up the wallpaper so that you'll be able to draw a level line.
Step 2
Position a ruler across the pencil dots and then lightly make a line on the wallpaper. This will be your trusty guide, telling you where to make the cut!
Step 3
Using a pair of sharp scissors, carefully cut along the pencil line that you made in Step 2. If you find it easier, you could also use a craft blade to do this part (careful of those fingers though!).
Step 4
Now that you have a section of wallpaper cut to fit the circumference of the lampshade you can start placing glue dots carefully onto each end. We used 3 glue dots on each end of the wallpaper length.
Step 5
Place the lampshade onto the first row of glue dots. Make sure that the edge of the lampshade is level with the edge of the wallpaper. Slowly and carefully roll the lampshade along the length of wallpaper so that it wraps around the outside of the shade. You can trim the wallpaper as necessary so that it just overlaps the first edge of glue dots.
Step 6
