How To Get Jungle Vibes In Your Home With My 5 Favourite Plants

5 of the Best House Plants to Fill Your Home with Jungle Vibes

My name is Elisa, otherwise known as My Plant Lover, and my design style is inspired by vivid colours and lively patterns! I love showing off my personality in my home, and want to inspire other people to step out of their comfort zones and be bold!

I adore using plants as décor in pretty much every room in my house, they’re just so versatile and unique. There are many different species to choose from and each one will not only add a pop of colour to your space, but add a jungle vibe that’s inviting and therapeutic.

So, if you’re struggling to choose what to put on that empty shelf or side table, plants are always going to be the answer to your problems. I promise they will bring your room to life!

Let’s talk about my 5 favourite houseplants that work in any space...

Sansevieria “Snake Plant”

Snake plants are known for being easy care plants, but did you know that there are so many different species to choose from? My personal favorite is the Whale Fin (Sansevieria Masoniana) for its thick leaves and deep green colour.

Snake plants only need to be watered about once a month, depending on how much light you give them, and are pretty hard to kill.

Epipremnum Aureum “Golden Pothos”

The Golden Pothos is a classic vining plant that is easy to find and grows very fast.

Seriously, this plant will take over your house in a short time if given enough light.

You will never get tired of looking at that beautiful golden variegation and its dainty leaves.

Aglaonema “Chinese Evergreen”

In my opinion, Chinese Evergreens are underrated houseplants that do not get enough credit for how beautiful they are!

There are so many different species that come in colours like hot pink, red or even a deep silver - it can match whatever vibe you are going for in your space.

These plants prefer bright light, so a table in front of a window is the perfect spot for them.

Monstera Deliciosa “Swiss Cheese Plant”

How could I not mention the classically beautiful Monstera Deliciosa plant! This plant will always be one of my favourites due to its big fenestrated leaves and potential to grow HUGE.

If you give this plant something to climb on, like a moss pole or wooden stake, it will grow stunning leaves with multiple fenestrations. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

This plant really needs bright light to be happy, and although rare when kept indoors, it has the capability of producing edible fruit. How cool is that?

Philodendron Hederaceum “Heart Leaf”

The Heartleaf Philodendron is my number one favourite houseplant because of how easy it is to care for, plus it looks beautiful!

This vining plant has heart-shaped leaves that look delicate yet striking when hung in a window or placed on a shelf. It’s super forgiving, and doesn’t mind being kept in medium light. Just make sure to water when the leaves start to droop.
